Introducing Kirsty Nugent

 

Hello and thank you for taking time to visit my website and to look at my work. My name is Kirsty Nugent and I am a portrait photographer based in Edinburgh.

 

I've loved photography and anything artistic & creative for as long as I can remember. For me capturing emotions and little moments in peoples lives is so precious and its something we often forget to do as we get on with our busy lives.

 

I have been lucky enough to spend time doing what I love and have worked as a portrait photographer since 2006. The majority of my career has been spent photographing children and for the last five years I have been concentrating on Fine Art children's photography.

 

I hold a Licentiateship for the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and have been fortunate enough to be supported and mentored by one of the institutes most acclaimed and respected photographers, Kevin Wilson. Kevin has helped me develop as a photographer and in 2013 I won a National award with BIPP for my portrait "Jessica".
